Welcome to S.O.S-Senior Oral-health Services

At S.O.S-Senior Oral-health Services, we understand that the oral health of your loved ones is of utmost importance. Our commitment is to provide on-site preventive oral care services to dependent adults, whether they reside in nursing facilities or in the comfort of their own homes. With a team of dedicated oral care specialists, we aim to improve access to essential preventive oral health care and address the specific needs of this vulnerable population.

About Us

Understanding the substantial risks confronted by this vulnerable population due to restricted access to oral health care, we’ve founded a company with a singular focus. Our mission is to connect oral care specialists directly with those in need by offering on-site preventive oral care services. This approach eliminates the need for transportation, ensuring seamless access to essential preventive oral care. At S.O.S., we are dedicated to bridging the gap and prioritizing the well-being of dependent adults by bringing quality preventive oral care services directly to them.

Specialized Preventive Oral Care for Dependent Adults:

Our preventive oral care services are specifically designed for dependent adults facing challenges in their daily activities. Tailored to address a range of cognitive issues such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, as well as physical disabilities, our services cater to individuals who may encounter difficulties in providing self-care or accessing traditional dental services. At S.O.S., we are committed to meeting the unique needs of this population, ensuring they receive the essential preventive oral care that contributes to their overall well-being.

Our Services

Our preventive oral care services are designed to enhance the overall health and well-being of dependent elders. By preserving their smiles, maintaining their ability to eat, and improving the taste of food, we contribute to a better quality of life for our clients. Our comprehensive oral care services go beyond aesthetics, aiming to prevent mouth pain, cavities, gum disease, and other oral health issues.

Regular oral care not only benefits dental health but also has positive effects on systemic health. Preventive oral care contributes to the reduction of aspiration pneumonia, assist in diabetes control, lower the risk of heart diseases and stroke, and slow the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. Through our services, we strive to minimize dental office visits, hospital admissions, and systemic infections, resulting in cost-effective and personable care.

Enhanced Oral Care Services Process:

At S.O.S-Senior Oral-health Services, we prioritize a comprehensive approach to preventive oral care, ensuring the well-being of your loved ones. Our detailed process includes the following key steps:

  1. Antimicrobial Oral Rinse: A non-irritating antimicrobial oral rinse is administered at the beginning of each service to effectively eliminate bacteria, establishing a clean foundation before the “cleaning” process begins.
  2. Biofilm Removal: Our specialists employ thorough techniques, including brushing and over-the-counter interdental aids, to skillfully remove biofilm build-up, addressing areas between the teeth and promoting overall oral hygiene.
  3. Fluoride Application: To safeguard against cavities, over-the-counter fluoride is applied at the conclusion of each visit. This protective measure enhances the resilience of teeth, contributing to long-term oral health.
  4. Cleaning of Removable Oral Appliances: When applicable, we meticulously clean removable oral appliances, ensuring their hygiene and functionality.
  5. Documentation and Communication: S.O.S. maintains detailed documentation of each visit. Upon request, a copy is promptly emailed to the family. In instances where suspicious or significant findings arise, potentially warranting a dentist’s evaluation, the family is promptly notified. The decision for dental intervention rests with the family/POA, as S.O.S. team members are not authorized to diagnose dental conditions but are dedicated to highlighting areas that may benefit from professional evaluation.
  6. Outside Dental Care: Fees and services associated with external dental care are independent of S.O.S. care or fees. We provide information and recommendations, leaving the choice of dental intervention to the discretion of the family.
  7. Supply Refresh: As a part of our commitment to consistent care, new oral care supplies are thoughtfully provided with each visit, ensuring that your loved ones have the necessary resources for ongoing oral health maintenance.

At S.O.S-Senior Oral-health Services, our meticulous and transparent approach aims to empower families with the information and support needed to make informed decisions about their loved ones’ oral health. Choose S.O.S. for a comprehensive and compassionate oral care experience.
