ANN M. Co-Owner, Co-Founder
Ann has lived in North Carolina since 1986 and has worked in the dental field for over 24 years. She earned her Dental Hygiene degree in 2004 and has provided clinical oral care at Phillips and Schmitt, DDS, PA since then. Ann helped found S.O.S. Senior Oral-health Services in 2017 and is passionate about expanding access to oral care for dependent elders throughout North Carolina. Now living in Greensboro, she is helping expand S.O.S. across the state. Outside of work, Ann enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, reading, and caring for and riding horses.
DIANA M. Co-Owner, CMO, HR
Diana grew up in Cleveland, OH and moved to the Asheville area with her family in 1996. She studied Dental Assisting and found the dental field fascinating. Pursuing her education, Diana went on to Dental Hygiene school and now works as a Dental Assistant and a Dental Hygienist at Phillips and Schmitt, DDS, PA. The day to day of a Dental Hygienist involves compassion, hard work, and the understanding of disease prevention, all of which Diana is passionate about. Seeing elders come in with oral disease and mouth pain due to a decline in homecare was heartbreaking. For this reason, helping start S.O.S was very important to her and she became a nationally certified caregiver with the American Caregiver Association. Diana has a flare for creativity and all forms of art. She heads our marketing and social media department and even designed our logo, the tooth/heart! In her spare time, Diana enjoys exploring Asheville with her husband, driving through the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, painting, kayaking, and hiking.
KELLY F. Co-Owner, CAO, Compliance Officer
Kelly has been in the dental field since 2009 and currently works in one of the top dental offices in the Asheville area, Phillips & Schmitt, DDS, PA, as both a Dental Hygienist and Dental Assistant. Working with the elder community she has realized there is a glaring shortage of care provided for these individuals that most need our help. Getting to know these patients on an individual basis in private practice has been inspiring for her which led her to help start S.O.S. and become a nationally certified caregiver with the American Caregiver Association. If you call, email, or text SOS, most likely you will be speaking with Kelly as she is our administrative guru for SOS. When she is not in direct patient care, she enjoys our beautiful town of Asheville! Asheville has been her home since she was two and she has loved growing up here. She is an experimental cook at home and is willing to try anything once! She, her husband, and their rambuncious 7 and 1 year old are either spending their time cozied up inside crafting and cooking or outside playing soccer, swimming, and hiking.
PAT W. Co-Owner, Care Services Director
Pat has 30+ years of experience working and managing in the areas of Finance, IT, Supply Chain Management & Marketing. She received her Master of Business Administration in 2001. Pat’s background has been in management with large corporations and manufacturing facilities. “The diversity and many varied areas that I have worked have fueled my dedication for working with people and improving processes. Working with the S.O.S team to grow and bridge the gap for dependent elders and excellent oral care is what I am passionate and excited about. Good oral care and helping others is important to me.” Pat grew up in New York and moved with her family to Asheville, NC in 1986 to enjoy warmer weather and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. In her free time she loves to hike and explore new and adventurous areas with her family and friends.
